Job Description

Carson Energy Services, a division of URS Flint, is currently seeking one Crew Foreman to join our team in the Carlyle, Sask area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Supervising and providing coordination and supervision to the assigned crew. (2 - 4 men crew)
  • Implementing Flint’s Safety Management System in all activities.
  • Ensuring that safety is the #1 priority in all activities.
  • Obtaining all permits, conducting pre-job meetings and ensuring that task hazard assessments are performed for all tasks.
  • Performing vehicle/equipment audits, inspecting 3rd party equipment and performing regular site inspections.
  • Reporting all incidents and/or job concerns to the field coordinator immediately.
  • Demonstrating leadership by participating fully in such things as job observations and High-intensity discharge (HID) reporting and follow-up, monthly attests, site inspections, incident investigations, weekly and monthly safety meetings, and tailgate meetings.
  • Working closely with Dispatch to plan, organize, direct and control of all activities related to the site management of Flint and sub-contract personnel.
  • Identifying and mitigating safety hazards.
  • Communicating and documenting work progress, schedule, budget variance and employee safety performance.
  • Liaise with the client to proactively address scope changes and/or concerns with quality of work.
  • Acting as a coach/mentor to employees for technical and/or resource utilization.
  • Ensuring that all employees and sub-contractors have the required training for the work being performed.
  • Ensuring that all work procedures and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) are current and are utilized.
  • Ensuring that all paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner (work tickets, detailed job and cost reports, efficiency loss reports, change orders, etc.)
  • Performing a final inspection with the client representative before rigging out from the work site.
  • Ensuring that a post job cleanup is done and that all rental equipment is returned as soon as the job is completed.
Job Requirements
  • A comprehensive knowledge of industry safe work standards and quality control is essential.
  • Minimum of 5 years pipeline experience
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years experience as a tradesman or equipment operator in an industrial or commercial work environment is required; previous supervisory experience would be a asset.
  • Must have experience with Battery SItes, Facility, Pump Jack, Oilfield Maintenance, and Treater Expectations
  • H2S
  • First Aid
